Between hitting the top charts every time Bad Luck records a song, numerous fans trying to molest him at every turn, and the uncharacteristic praise he has acquired from the love of his life, Yuki Eiri, Shuichi Shindou’s got it made. Much to Shuichi’s pleasure, the new novel the famous author is working on sounds very much like something right out of an autobiography; save for the fact he turned the protagonist’s love interest into a woman. Interesting.

Nittle Grasper is going strong after their return, expertly challenging Bad Luck in ways that Shuichi simply cannot turn down. Ryuichi Sakuma is struggling to balance his friendship with the bubbly lead singer of Bad Luck, while still maintaining that healthy competition between them. So far, he’s succeeding.

Taki Aizawa and ASK are back in action, more determined now to keep up with their two leading rivals and, once more, reach the number one spot in the charts. Even though he’s being scrutinized every second of his time in the Studios, Taki couldn’t look happier, though he still has his moments. Ok well…he has ‘those’ moments more often than naught, but all around, he seems content.

As perfect as things may appear for the employees of NG Studios, not everything is as it seems. Despite his claims of giving up, Taki is still secretly plotting against Bad Luck, adamant about taking them down once and for all in order to restore his fallen dignity. The cog in his plans, however, would be the new and interesting friendship between him and Nittle Grasper’s lead singer. Ironic? Why yes, it is. Not to mention a very vindictive reporter has made it her life’s goal to completely ruin Aizawa and Sakuma after being so ‘wronged’ by the two of them. With her disturbing presence, Aizawa is starting to think he’ll need a bodyguard in the near future.

Every day Tohma Seguchi is scouting for more talent to sign, pleased with the startling amount of very skilled players out there. New bands are popping up every day, introducing more rivals to the triple-threat already securely in place at NG. It’s starting to seem like a full on battle of the bands.
